A new era of luxury is on the rise in Surfers Paradise and it’s bringing an unprecedented opportunity to live an extravagant Gold Coast life.
It sounds like the plotline to your very own fairytale – spending your days luxuriating within the walls of a crystal tower with uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean. But that is exactly what Chinese developer Wanda Ridong Group have spared no expense in creating.
The $970 million six-star hotel-resort and residences will be the first, and largest development with direct beach access to be built on the Gold Coast in over 30 years.
After a worldwide competition, Jewel’s one-of-a-kind architecture and interior design began to take shape. Jewel’s shimmering exterior is based on three smoky quartz crystals discovered near Mt Warning, which date back thousands of years. Jewel’s architect, DBI Designs, Barry Lee said the crystals were scanned in 3D and then scaled up to generate the sculptural form of the building.
“Jewel’s iconic architecture coupled with the stunning location will make it one of the grandest structures on earth.” – Wanda Ridong Gold Coast Development Director of Sales and Marketing Andrew Bampton.
The ambitious and unique cladding technique used will create the illusion of three crystal towers emerging from the sand. “Jewel will be transformative for the Gold Coast as it will bring a new level of sophistication and innovation while creating the city’s largest and most diverse beachfront food and entertainment destination.”
Wanda Ridong Gold Coast Development Director of Sales and Marketing Andrew Bampton says Jewel’s iconic architecture coupled with its stunning location will make it one of the grandest structures on earth. “Jewel will be impressive to behold and its gleaming beauty visible for miles – for boaters cruising the Gold Coast waterways, right through to hikers deep in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Visitors travel from all over the world to soak up the Queensland sunshine and experience the iconic Surfers Paradise Beach, but those who become a part of Jewel will be able to experience the shoreline each and every day, all in complete magnificence.
Jewel will offer 512 spacious residential apartments, featuring one, two or three-bedroom options within its three towers. If you aren’t great with decision-making, the 50 different apartment types to choose from will have your head spinning. Rest assured you can’t choose wrong though, with all interiors firmly based on natural materials – timber flooring, with kitchens and bathrooms featuring marble and onyx surfaces, offset with state-of-the-art tapware, basins and fittings designed exclusively for Jewel.
Not in the market for the ultimate luxury beachfront apartment? Jewel will have 171 hotel rooms, so why not splurge on a luxurious beachfront weekend instead!
When you aren’t enjoying the Gold Coast skyline and ocean views from your luxury apartment, spend your days in absolute leisure in Jewel’s lush, tropical oasis. A multi-level podium complete with expansive pools, that will lead directly to the beachfront and surf. While lounging in one of the podium’s deluxe cabanas, plan your evening meal at one of the resort’s fine dining restaurants run by some of the world’s most decorated chefs.
